Chateau Bouscasse Vieilles Vignes

Chateau Bouscasse Vieilles Vignes

$50.68Price

Francois' French Opinion: Vieilles Vignes is 100% Tannat from 50 year-old old vines and spends some time in new oak barrels. Full-bodied and spicy and although drinking now, this will benefit from a further 3-5 years in the cellar. Almost opaque purple in the glass, with a powerful, spicy nose suggesting earthy black fruits. Full-bodied yet smooth in texture with further expressive flavours of cassis and black plums. A lengthy finish and pronounced acidity make this a great food wine.

Pair with: Duck breast, rib of beef, or game, as well as chocolate desserts and red fruit.

Region: Cotes de Gascogne, France

Varietal: Tannat
