Chateau Gloria St Julien 2017

Chateau Gloria St Julien 2017

Francois' French Opinion: A brand with a strong identity, Gloria is among the most emblematic unclassified Cru Medoc properties on the Left Bank of the Bordeaux region. The unique creation of Henri Martin, the singularity of Chateau Gloria lies in its vineyard: 50 hectares made up of parcels acquired exclusively from Grands Crus Classes of 1855. Chateau Gloria brings together the greatest terroirs of Saint-Julien. Falling under the Bernard Magrez umbrella, the 2017 Chateau Fombrauge is a soft, plush, sexy wine that shines in the vintage. With medium to full-bodied richness and depth as well as ripe, supple tannins, it has lots of cassis and blackberry fruits, a touch of tobacco and earth, nicely integrated oak, and outstanding length on the finish. This 2017 is already hard to resist, yet I suspect it's going to evolve beautifully for 10-15 years Pair with: Chateau Gloria is a perfect match with Asian dishes, hearty fish courses like tuna, salmon, mushrooms, and pasta Region: St Julien - Bordeaux, France Varietal: 61% Cabernet Sauvignon, 26% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc 8% Petit Verdot Awards: 93 Points of Wine Enthusiast
