Chateaus Dassault 2015 Grand Cru Classe
Francois' French Opinion: An estate in full expansion over the past five years. This is powerful, intense, rich, ripe and high in alcohol, but it has excellent balance, and the silky-soft tannins manage to accompany the smoked oak step by step. Spicy, packed with dark fruit, rich chocolate and pepper, this is a powerful, sumptuous wine. It needs time, but is elegant and well-extracted. This is the truly accomplished modern face of St. Emilion. Juicy fruit is beginning to shine through this generous exterior, promising a good potential and the likelihood the wine will be at its best from 2023.
