Jean-Baptiste Jessiaume - Bouzeron, Aligote

Color: Pale gold with hints of green or clear pale lemon

Nose: The aroma is typically clean and vibrant, with dominant notes of citrus (lemon, lime, yellow grapefruit), green and yellow apples, and sometimes white flowers (honeysuckle, linden blossom) or a distinct saline/mineral reduction quality. Some vintages (e.g., 2021) may also show hints of ripe yellow fruits, tropical notes like pineapple, or subtle earthy/truffle accents.

Palate: The palate is known for its remarkable freshness and "electric" acidity, balanced with a mix of ripe citrus and orchard fruit flavors (peach, pear, greengage plum). It has a lean, yet sometimes rounded or rich, texture with a pronounced minerality and a slightly chalky, tangy, or salty finish that is mouth-watering and ensures good length

Food pairing: Jean-Baptiste Jessiaume Aligoté pairs well with oysters and shellfish, goat cheese, grilled white fish, escargots, charcuterie, sushi, and asparagus dishes.
