Oscar Tobia Reserva Rioja

Ryan's Two-Cents: A full bodied Rioja that is full to the brim with chunky fruit. It has the classic softness of a Reserva with the savoury acidity of Graciano. Intense red cherry color and the deep red on the border. The aromas are intense, elegant and complex. Firstly black fruit such as prunes and cherries turns up. Later it shows mineral and menthol notes with spices aromas like black pepper, cloves and tobacco trees. On the palate it is gentle, velvety, smooth and very bulky, very polished and ripe tannins. This is a very structured wine; satiny, full-bodied, powerful, round with a fleshy and ripe finish that is delightfully long. Enjoy with dinner, next to a fire, with a long conversation, or if possiblem, all three.
