PAUL CHERRIER

In the heart of the Brittany wines, in the commune of Loroux-Bottereau, the Delaunay family has been working the vines for generations.

The Domaine Delaunay forms a pretty 45-hectares wine-growing property combining the best grape varieties of the region on an exceptional terroir.

Their story is a succession of generations of cultivating vines (sauvignon Blanc and Pinot noir) from the finest most unique terroirs in the world.  13hectares vineyard.

Located to the west of the appellation, at the confluence of the Loire and the Vienne, it mainly produces red wines, Cabernet franc. Makes vigorous wines with raspberry fruitiness. in outstanding ripe yeras, the wine has the substance and structure , like a good red Bordeaux to mature for a decade. For its quality it is absurdly undervalued.

The aromatic white wines of Sancerrre are perhaps the easisest to recognize in France. On these limestone and clay hills, in a near continental climate, Sauvignon Blanccan make finer and more complex, wine than anywhere else in the world. But it does so too rarely. Named today the "New White Gold" for its rare production and high demand.
